Current Volunteer Opportunities for the 2008-2009 School Year
The Jane Addams PTA is looking for volunteers for various functions at our school. Many of these are one time events. Can you help? Whatever you can do will be greatly appreciated. Please drop a note in the PTA mailbox in the office with your name, child(ren) & room number(s), phone number/email, and the best time to reach you. You can also send an email to president@janeaddamspta.org.
- Fall Picnic. This event occurs on Friday, September 5th. We are looking for volunteers to help with set-up, staffing food and events, and clean-up.
- Yearbook. We need a Chairperson for this important committee. This volunteer coordinates with our yearbook publisher throughout the year putting together our childrens' book of memories for the school year. Volunteers are also needed to help gather pictures for all the classroom and school-wide activites.
- Box Tops. Help collect and clip the box tops. It's a great job to do at home. Are any of your family members or neighbors not clipping box tops or soup labels? Spread the word!
- Market Day. We ask for volunteers to help sort and present orders for our Market Day customers. Pick-ups are once a month - with sorting starting before the end of the school day. Can you help?
